If you would like to find a volunteer for your organisation in Brighton and Hove, or wider Sussex, please follow these simple steps:

  1. Read our full Guidelines for Organisations
  2. Complete our Organisation Registration Form
  3. Complete one Opportunity Registration Form for each separate volunteering opportunity that you wish to advertise.

Please note, you must complete an Organisation Registration form before you can advertise any opportunities wth us.

Volunteering Development Programme

Help and support for those working with volunteers

We offer one-to-one support to voluntary and community organisations and social enterprises to help develop good practice in working with volunteers.

The benefits of taking part in the programme:

  • Improve your organisation's capacity to recruit and retain volunteers
  • Provide a better experience for volunteers
  • An opportunity to review current practices
  • Free one-to-one support and development
  • Become familiar with the Investing in Volunteers quality standard
  • Demonstrate to funders that you have the necessary systems in place to ensure good volunteer management

Eligibility Checklist

  • Your organisation involves volunteers in the day-to-day delivery of services or is planning to do so
  • Your are either based in, or your work covers, Brighton & Hove
  • You have paid staff as well as volunteers
  • You currently receive public sector funding or hope to be in a position to do so in the future

The Volunteer Centre is an Investing in Volunteers Partner. This means that we have the training and experience to support organisations that wish to be externally assessed for this national quality award.

Is your organinsation looking for Trustees?

The CUPP (Community Unversity Partnership Programme) Trustee Matching Group offers an opportunity for Community organisations looking for trustees to advertise available positions to Brighton University staff with an interest in Trusteeship.

The group is hosted on 'ning' and therefore to access this service you will be asked to complete a simple signup process.
