Communications Coordinator

Job Description

Impetus is an award-winning Brighton charity helping people who feel lonely or socially isolated because of age, disability or poor mental or physical health. Our team of staff and volunteers help people make connections in their community to improve health and wellbeing. We offer a range of community support including befriending, advocacy and social prescribing.

Key work areas: Designing, implementing and evaluating our communications strategy to achieve awareness, understanding and engagement. Working with senior managers you will ensure that we lead the agenda on reducing isolation and improving wellbeing, contributing to realisation of fundraising and volunteer recruitment targets.

Experience and excellent skills in Copywriting, editing, PR, social media, marketing and media management are essential.

Responsible for: Communications Assistant

Hours

14 hours a week, worked flexibly. Occasional out of hours work required for events. Media telephone cover five days a week.

Salary

£25,951-27,668 full-time equivalent (£10,380-11,067 actual) + 3% employer’s contribution to auto-enrolment pension.

Contract

12 months. Possible extension depending on performance and funding.
