One of our volunteers is setting up a Coffee Companions group. Participants use Chat Mats to let other people know if they would like some company with their cup of coffee. It is an easy way to make conversation and meet new friends.

You don’t pay any extra for the items you would normally buy, but a portion of each purchase will come to us at Brighton & Hove Impetus. Christmas brings with it a sense of both excitement and anxiety – in my case, anxiety about collating reports and completing tasks before going on leave over the holiday.
Fortunately, this work has its positive side. The comments and glimpsed stories in volunteer reports, and in our autumn survey of both volunteers and scheme members, reflect a huge amount of activity and provide a glimpse of people’s lives that is cumulatively very moving.
