‘Connect 4′ Loneliness Campaign – coming soon!Posted on 28th September 2017 by Toni Slater
Brighton and Hove has one of the highest rates of loneliness in the UK.
Loneliness affects people of every race, age, and gender at any time of the year, but some people feel lonely each and every day. Not having anyone to connect with can have a devastating impact on these people’s lives.
In response, we are launching the ‘Connect 4′ Loneliness Campaign on 30th October this year.
70% of the people Impetus helps say that isolation is the most difficult aspect of their life.
The services we provide – befriending, advocacy, social prescribing – help reduce loneliness and our volunteers help build stronger community connections.
‘Connect 4’ is an opportunity for you to support us and raise awareness about the issue by taking part in our fun campaign activities – just 4 simple things can make a big difference!
- Donate – £4-£40, whatever you can afford we are grateful for
- Support on social media – @BHimpetus on Facebook, Instagram and Facebook
- Attend one of our events – see below
- Have a home or work money box – contact us and we send one to you
