‘Connect 4′ Loneliness Campaign – coming soon!Posted on 28th September 2017 by Toni Slater
Brighton and Hove has one of the highest rates of loneliness in the UK.
Loneliness affects people of every race, age, and gender at any time of the year, but some people feel lonely each and every day. Not having anyone to connect with can have a devastating impact on these people’s lives.
In response, we are launching the ‘Connect 4′ Loneliness Campaign on 30th October this year.

Voices and Values – Calling Impetus volunteers!Posted on 19th September 2017 by Ellie Moulton
On 22nd August, Impetus held a very successful workshop on Values and Volunteers. We had a good turnout including volunteers, staff and trustees and lots of discussion on how we involve volunteers in the organisation and ways to ensure that volunteers have a voice in what we do.
We will now be holding regular workshops as one thing that was very clear to me from the meeting is how much all our volunteers are so passionate about and committed to their role. I was also impressed by our volunteers’ dedication and willingness to find out more about Impetus.
Yellow Rose campaign boostPosted on 15th September 2017 by Toni Slater
Our annual Yellow Rose campaign, promoting the power of friendship, inclusion and community and raising awareness of the issue of isolation in Brighton & Hove, ran throughout August and gave us a significant boost.
The campaign galvanised hundreds of supporters using #YellowRose on social media and raised more than £350. We also gained ten new volunteer sign ups. So a huge thank you to everyone who gave their support.
