Asperger’s Self-Advocacy group, 25th October

Posted on 23rd October 2012 by

From Becky Heaver, Group Facilitator, Impact Advocacy Services:

The first meeting of the Asperger’s Self-Advocacy group went really well, we had ten people from across north and mid-Sussex, and have arranged the next meeting for:

Thursday 25th October, 7-9pm, at the same place The Old Post Office Resource Centre, 30-32 Station Road, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9DS.

As a group we would like to compile up-to-date information about other local resources for adults with Asperger’s, building on the information held by West Sussex County Council and the Autism Spectrum Conditions Service (Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust).

If you provide any services to adults with Asperger’s in West Sussex (any part of WS, not just the north), I would be very grateful if you would send me the current days, times and contact information (particularly email addresses and websites as this is often a preferred means of communication).

I am also trying to creating an email mailing list of organisations and individuals who wish to be notified of upcoming dates for the Asperger’s Voice Self-Advocacy Group meetings.  If you are receiving this email and feel that it is not relevant to you or your organisation, just let me know and I will take you off the mailing list.  Equally if you know of anybody who would like to be added, or there is a more appropriate contact in your team, please forward this email to them.

Best wishes
